A Study on Academic Stress, Health Behavior, and Drinking Pattern of College Students

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of academic stress, school life satisfaction, health behaviors, and drinking patterns among college students. Data collection was carried out between September 19 and September 23, 2016 using 250 questionnaires. The results of the study showed that on average the students¡¯ school life stress was 2.48 out of 5, while their school life satisfaction was 2.67. There also was a significant negative correlation between these two variables. 44.8% of students perceived their health as being in good condition, while 15.2% thought that their health was doing poorly. 42.5% of the respondents answered that they are smoking because of health activities. In addition, there was a significant difference in the drinking patterns of male students compared to their female counterparts.
